I had an exciting day at Kyre Park on Sunday 8th May thanks in the main to the wonderful supporters of the Ludlow Hunt Pony Club.

I was trialling a new piece of software intended to give customers an altogether easier and more pleasurable experience.

As with any new thing, it was launched and trialled with great excitment by Pete Thorp Photography. Photo Parata is an excelent piece of kit but it had its problems… Not always, I suspect the sole problem of the software… as I was using new screens and NComputing thin clients… all of which seemed to create IRQ conflicts for mice and frozen screens alike. Couple that with the big printer refusing to print! and it proved very trialling for customer and technician alike…

Still, we got through it and everyone kept their cool.

Of course I got home and the printer kicked straight into life and thus all the prints were posted today… Stayed up through the night to put all the images on the website. I hope you enjoy them…

Wheatland Hunt Ball – Oscars Night

March 12th, Saturday evening, was an excellent evening.

My goodness, the Wheatland Hunt know how to throw a party! 450 people turned up in black tie and sequined dresses and the marquee was filled with fun and laughter from the start. The tables were laden with decorations, including an Oscar as their centre piece, and very soon the wine and excellent food were being served to all the guests.

In our part of the marquee, Pete Thorp Photography, was hands on from the moment the first guest arrived.

We continued to take images for the next 6 hours with barley a moment to catch breath. All the staff were engaged one way or another with customers revelleing in the quality and assortment of photos on offer from black backgrounds to greenscreen. This last screen proved popular to the younger attendees who could pick from a wall of film titles to other fantasy figures!

We would like to extend our gratitude to the Wheatland Hunt and all those that came and had their pictues taken and we hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we enjoyed taking them!

Ludlow Hunt Ball Latest

A fantastic evening for everyone, one of the must attend functions of the year so far…

The Ludlow Hunt Ball was packed with fun and entertainment… and all throughout the evening revelers were coming to us and having some great pictures taken.

Oliver Townend

Friday 18 February saw Oliver Townend at the Ludlow Golf Club.
There were over a 100 guests that came to listen to this Yorkshire man who, when encouraged and inspired by his family, graduated from the young rider he was to become this countries top rider that he is today. His talk was both compelling and informative.
I watched as the faces of those attending were moved from intent listening to howls of laughter.

A very engaging and entertaining evening.

Oliver Townend comes to Ludlow Golf Club

Afterward I will be taking photographs of Oliver with any one whose been listening to the talk.

Sunday 6 February 2011,
Had a great afternoon, photographing a visiting juvenile red kite, which came and went over the house.
This bird has been seen by many in the area and reported to Danny Arnold who began the Teme Valley Wildlife group (TVWG).

What a fantastic day!
The organisers, Sally and Kay once more doing a first class professional job!
So many faces there again this year that I recognised from last year. Sadly a few were missing but I do hope to see you again in future years.
We struggled with the sodium light as usual, but hopefully I have corrected this in the images now on the website.
As of Monday 7th February, I have started to put these up – it’s a slow old process,
however I have Jethro Tull playing Thick as a Brick, and helping me to concentrate on the task in hand!

Thanks to the assistance of Trudy and Simon Trafford from Trafford Photography, there are hundreds of images for you to search through in the comfort of your offices and lounges and I hope they bring a smile to your faces.
